Access to the Area
The Santa Teresa area is quite easy to access.
You can either drive or fly to the destination.
The drive will take about four hours from San Jose including a scenic one and a half hour crossing of the Nicoya Peninsula via ferry.

By air, after landing at the Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO) in San José, walk to the Domestic Terminal and there you will board one of two internationally rated airlines that fly the 12-passenger Cessna Caravan turboprop plane that will take you on a 22 minute flight to the Cobano airport.
Our hotel has partnered with Sansa Airlines to offer a 10% discount on your airfare to Cobano (and any other flights with Sansa). Once you book your stay at the hotel, you will receive a welcome email from us which will contain the coupon code. Login to www.flysansa.com and after you choose your flights and enter the passenger details, you will proceed to the Payment section where you will find a box with the message “Have a coupon code?” and proceed to enter it. You will be given the discount at the time you go to your cart to check out.
You can also fly Green Airways (www.costaricagreenair.com). Combining both, there are more than fourteen daily flights in each direction during the high season (November through April) and the frequency decreases in the low season.
At the Cobano airport you can rent a car or take a taxi. From there it is a 20 minute ride on a good road to the hotel. We suggest Pantera Taxi, which can be contacted via WhatsApp or by phone at +506 8591 9555 to arrange pickup in advance.
